HiSET Testing
HiSET Preparation and Testing (Formerly GED) General Information Massachusetts has replaced the GED with the HiSET, a test designed by the Educational Testing Service. This new test measures the academic knowledge and proficiency equivalent to those of a high school graduate and provides students the opportunity to earn a high school credential. This credential is recognized as key to employment opportunities, career advancement, and further education.  The test consists of five timed tests: Language Arts - Reading, Language Arts - Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. Keefe Technical School is a state-approved test center and will be offering both the Computer-Based (CBT) and Paper-Based (PBT) format for test takers. Testing takes place monthly, usually during the first full week of the month. Paper-Based Testing takes place on Mondays and Tuesdays. Computer-Based Testing takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
